Survival Cooking - Night Grillin'

One of the great things you can do to check just how prepared you are is " night grillin' " because you never know when the power may go out and the lights with it. This is Mrs. RW's area of expertise and to celebrate the end of my first week in my new position she decided to do a little night grillin'. She cooked up a special meal for us and it turned out great.

She grilled a couple of T-bone steaks and threw some "shrimp on the barbie" Australian-style and added a couple of roastin' ears to go with it. Practicing for when the power goes out will let you be aware of just how well you will be able to get by in an emergency.

No lights? No power? No problem! Get grillin' !

Done any night grillin' lately?

Staying above the water line!

Man, that looks tasty - good grazing that! Autumn temps are just getting decent for afternoon Bar-B-Ques, if the 'skeeters' will give an opportunity.

My favorite night time grill implements - LED headlamp, heat gloves and a pigtail for flipping the meat around.

The evenings are real pleasant this time of year and night grillin' saves Mrs. RW from excess heat in the kitchen. She grills a mean T-bone...but they ain't cheap. It'll be back to ground meat and beans now...till I can find another thing to celebrate and get another paycheck.

Thanks anon!
