Once again it’s Tuesday and here are some more tips to help with your preppin’.
1.) Preppin’ Tip – Easy Maintenance for Your Electronics
Use the eraser on the end of a pencil to clean the terminals and contacts on your different electronic gear. The pencil’s length makes it easy to access hard to reach places, like the battery compartment of your digital camera. The eraser can be used to rub off any corrosion on the contacts or terminals. Keeps the contacts bright and shiny!
2.) Preppin’ Tip – Water & Soil Conservation
Got a worn out sponge that can’t quite get the job done anymore? Save it and place it in the bottom of your plant pots to cover the drain hole in the bottom. This will keep your soil from falling through and slow down the water that drains from the pot.
3.) Preppin’ Tip – Save Your Vegetables from Bruising
Got veggies rolling around in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator? Take some bubble wrap and place it in the bottom of your crisper drawer in your fridge. It’ll stop them from rolling around thereby cutting down on bruised and damaged vegetables. I don’t always remember where it comes from but there always seems to be some bubble wrap around. Use it for something other than a noise-maker!
4.) Preppin’ Tip - Keep It Handy
Always store extra matches and lighters in waterproof containers along with each piece of equipment that needs to be lit in order to help start a fire. You can also keep extra lighters packed with your stoves and lanterns. You’ll always be able to get a fire going or a lantern working!
