Update on Storm Damage - Getting Back to Normal

The roof repairs are fairly complete now except for a little painting that will hopefully get done this weekend. My plans are always subject to change though because you never really know what will happen next. Still have some downed tree limbs to clean up but things are getting back to normal fairly quickly. A big factor in this was due to having an emergency fund. It's nice when you can make needed repairs without having to worry about where to get the money to pay for those repairs.

Staying above the water line!

I second the notion of having an emergency fund.

It is part of our monthly budgeting.

That ol' "E" fund has pulled our butts out of the fire on more than one occasion.

Amen to the E fund! Team Groundhog is following the Dave Ramsey plan and that just helped us get through 3 and a half months of unemployment. Start a new job in a week. Rebuilding starts at first pay check!

Glad to see your casa and life getting back to normal sir.

My emergency fund is a vital part of my preps. It's difficult to keep a decent emergency fund but well worth the sacrifice when it's needed.

Thanks.

A good emergency fund will get you through some tough times...especially things like unemployment. Glad to hear you're starting the new job! those paychecks sure come in handy.

Thanks.
