Yup, buzzworms - Mr. No Shoulders - whatever you call them, they need to be kept a watch for. I have not seen one in quite a while. That one pictured is a big boy!
Went out this past weekend, hot sticky and NO WIND - ugh, misery it was, shirt was pasted on body and no relief from wind. I had frozen a 2 liter bottle of water in freezer the previous night and drank from the thawing bottle, that kept me going.

ReplyDeleteThis rattler was slightly less than four feet long....fairly common size in this area.
We've got all of the bad boys around here...rattlers, copperheads, water mocassins.
