Those woodpeckers sure are a nuciance to plywood deer blinds - I wonder if they could be edjumacated to leave them alone ? Plenty of 'windows' along the eaves of our blinds - lets in yellow jackets! (Grrr!).
That is a Red-bellied Woodpecker. A Red-headed Woodpecker has a solid red head with a mostly black and white torso. They are both noisy especially when they peck on a metal gutter downspout before dawn.....
.22 is the cure!
