RW, Jr. and myself spent some time doing a little target practice yesterday. We had a couple of Hi-Point .40S&W JCP pistols that we were checking out. It had been a while since we've had a chance to do any shooting practice. It seems like work has a way of taking up most of our free time. We did have a pleasant surprise with these inexpensive little(?) pistols. We ran about sixty rounds through each pistol and then had to go put some blades on the lawnmower so RW. Jr. could cut the grass.
Got ugly gun?

Ugly pistol - no. Planet of Apes rifle - yes? 9mm Hi-Point carbine, uglier than a bucket full of rattlesnakes, but is very reliable, respectable accuracy, little recoil. Only bad point - that plastic stock when left in sun will treat your tender cheek like grilled cheese when shooting, keep it cool. :^)
Good post River Walker.

I have some family members that have .40 caliber pistols and thought it would be a good idea to have something around that would allow me to use the rounds they normally keep on hand. While these pistols aren’t the prettiest thing out there, I found them to be fairly reliable with decent accuracy...you can't always blame the pistol for your shooting errors.
Thanks anon.
