Food Storage Inventory Spreadsheet

A while back I offered my food storage inventory spreadsheet free to my readers. Hope it's been useful to those of you that have tried using it to track your food inventory. Here's a brief comment from one of my readers.

"Riverwalker,

Just wanted to let you know I just now got around to using the spread sheet you sent to me months ago. It is working great. I packed my first food bucket last night and the wife was all too happy to help. Keep up the great work.

Rook"

Thanks Rook! Glad you found it helpful.

Anyone else got any comments about whether or not it has been useful to them?

If interested in the spreadsheet, you can do a direct download here:

I'm afraid I'm an irregular reader but generally like reading your blog. I downloaded the spreadsheet and was surprised, shouldn't have been but..., it is much like the one we use to load our trailer when going on a trip. When you think about it, isn't that what survival is about - preparing for some future period of time. Thanks for sharing your spreadsheet and helping me to this (perhaps rather simple) insight.

Great insight there Don! I've always thought of being prepared as a way to maintain a state of normal in my life. There are so many things that can happen in our everyday lives to alter our normal routine a little extra preparation won't hurt.

Thanks Don. Keep checking back when you have a chance.

Being prepared in order to maintain a state of normal life is a great way to live. Our grandparents and great grandparents had a better handle on this than most of us today.

It's a shame that more of our grandparents ability to be self reliant has been lost or ignored.
while technology can enhance your skills, technology can be a poor substitute if it fails.

Thanks John.

I think I might have done something wrong. I downloaded the spreadsheet and tried to open with excel and it asked for a password?

The password is RW (upper case).
