Sunday’s Survival Tips – Winter Survival in Your Car

The recent ice storms that have crippled much of the country are a stark reminder of the need to be prepared. You can avoid being a victim of severe winter weather by taking the time to do a little advance planning.

Staying safe isn't always about avoiding potentially dangerous situations. If that was the case, there wouldn't be any type of outdoor winter activities. We could all just stay indoors and avoid it completely. Instead, surviving winter is about being prepared for these potential dangers. We can't change the weather, but we can be prepared for it.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety has an excellent brochure with solid information about Winter Survival In Your Car. This will be an excellent addition to your Survival Library.
