This probably won't be the case for the majority of people...no matter what the needed item is!<br /><br />My congratulations to you for managing to put together one of your own. Don't discount the knowledge gained from building your own log splitter. <br /><br />The average person with limited skills and resources may be better off to buy a ready-made log splitter.<br /><br />Thanks Western Mass. I kick m...I built my own splitter 5 or 6 years ago. I kick myself in the butt for doing it because after all was said and done, I could of bought one cheaper. <br />I saved probably 200.00 by buying the parts for it, but it took me <br />2 - 3 weeks to build it. That and I was able to use some equipment at my job to fabricate it. Along with the fact that the hydraulic cylinder and the steel was free. <br />Thanks RW.Western Mass.
