About $55 down here, might find elsewhere for less change. Maybe an industrial supply shop might have them for less - saw a lawn equipment shop with some hanging as well, for road crews working in rural areas.

Thank you RW.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4858350933853662775.post-80345379932474855722009-06-17T08:33:53.445-05:002009-06-17T08:33:53.445-05:00To: anonymous 6:40

My kids joke all the time about me living to be a hundred if I don't have an accident (it seems I've had more than my share).

I've been camping and hiking at Lost Maples a bunch. Really pretty up there. The kids always enjoyed the clear pools of water to jump in on a hot day. We did mostly wilderness camping when at Lost Maples.

Ramble on all you want! Always good to hear about the experiences of others and a great way to learn. Thanks.

RWriverwalkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01575212890278793911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4858350933853662775.post-20913730882929142612009-06-17T06:40:21.812-05:002009-06-17T06:40:21.812-05:00Nice - hey, I forgot what green look s like, nice ...Nice - hey, I forgot what green look s like, nice to see it. Way cool pictures - fenceline looks great.

I took your advice from a coupla weeks ago, and bought some snake boots. Your post reminded me that an ounce of prevention will save a pound of cure later on. The cost of the boots is waaaay less than a doctors/ visit or hospital stay. The boots are Chippewa (sp?), back zipper design. Heavy dudes they are, but hopefully, keep my legs safe.

An old friend, now long gone, got bit at Lost Maples in Hill Country, way back in there. Took half a day to get him out and the amount of tissue they had to remove was very excessive - lucky he got to keep his leg at all.

He was a lucky and unlucky at same time. I know two who have been hit by a stingray when wading the Gulf. I know one person who accidentally shot their self with their firearm. I know one who actually got snakebit. This guy did ALL THREE - Holy Cripes, is that unlucky or what? Probably ran for the indoors when lightning began to strike.

Sorry for rambling - again, nice post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4858350933853662775.post-52690517023748038222009-06-16T23:06:13.540-05:002009-06-16T23:06:13.540-05:00To: HermitJim
