Riverwalker's Pics - Natural Camouflage


Nature has a way of disguising things but if you increase your powers of observation you may see things in a different way. You might even see a few things you've been missing.

  1. Yep, colors don't matter that much if the object is still. Looking for the stray outline that seems out of place should be focused on harder, suprisingly how quickly the object will suddenly 'Pop Out', especially when that ear flicker suddenly appears.

    Optics really helps this out, but a lot of this is concentration, pure and simple.

    Sometimes you can look too hard and not see anything. the stray movement will often be the only sign.

    It's a young Texas spiny lizard. older ones tend to be a darker grey color and are quite a bit larger.

    You are concentrating too hard. Just take a casual glance and shift your focus slightly and you will see the lizard or you can look at the pic in Part 2.
