SoftSchools.com provides an excellent resource for free math worksheets, free math games, grammar and science quizzes and free phonics worksheets and games. From Pre-K to Middle School, they offer a great variety of tools that can be a valuable resource for those persons schooling their children at home. Worksheets and games are organized by grades and topics and can be customized to fit individual student needs. You will need to register to make custom worksheets. Registration is free. These are printable math, science and phonics worksheets that come in a PDF format that can be saved to your computer. This is an excellent educational site and the pages load quickly even for those using dial-up internet services.

Things have certainly gotten easier for the homeschoolers since we schooled our kids. Indiana has always been pretty accommodating, but we had a few run ins with local school district people. The web is such a wonderful tool for this.
