Port Mansfield Report Post Dolly: by http://2coolfishing.com/ttmbforum/ member
It would take me a month to describe the damage.
Here are the basics.
Only two bay cabins between the port and Green Island still exist.
I think all of the piers at port south are gone. The bay system is a
mine field of house materials. Almost every home in the port was
damaged in some way. Nobody was hurt
The power is still out.

Note from Riverwalker: Power is now back on in the area. (See thread post comment)
Thanks need to go out to our National Guard troops and the U.S. Coast Guard for their
help with getting things back to normal.
Hurricanes are nothing to mess around with folks.

Dolly was a Category 2 storm.
Hurricane Katrina was a Category 5!
A special thanks to Mayberry for contributing this local news item. Thanks.

Wish I could see the photos! The Gestapo here at work blocks the site. I'll check them out from home

I also have a similar problem at work depending on the content.

I saw them - wow. We sometimes get up there, but mainly go to SPI for our fishing.
We're based in Edinburg, about 70 miles west southwest of PM - not nearly so much wind damage, excepting maybe some trees which struck homes / vehicles.

I've been through several hurricanes and the possibility of random and extensive damage is very real. Thanks for the comment!
RW
No problem RW...
Funny thing is, that I was standing right next to that pretty new Bertram yacht, on the bulkhead to the left of it (probably in the spot the picture was taken from!) not one week before! Amazing....
One more thing! I might be down there next week, and if I go, I'll bring my camera and get some more pictures. Stay tuned, ha ha!
Thanks for putting up this post--even though we're not in the area, we care about what's going on there. Best wishes to everyone affected.

Thanks again. More pics would be great.
