Keeping Cool, Calm, and Collected

A lot of people out there are going to start losing it with the way things seem to be headed. They're going to lose their cool when they get hit with unexpected developments in their lives. It's all starting to hit a lot closer to home now and staying calm and collected is going to be the place you will need to be. Don't let these things force you into making irrational decisions that could inadvertently affect you in a "negative" manner. You just need to remind yourself who is in control of your life and not get pushed into irrational actions that may get you in deeper trouble than you thought you were in to start with.

A positive attitude is a must in any survival situation. A positive reaction will lead to better solutions than a hasty, emotionally-charged reaction. We all get upset by different things to varying degrees but it's how we cope with those problems that will ultimately lead to our success or failure. The powers-that-be out there are hoping you'll make these kinds of mistakes and they're waiting to pick up the pieces when you fall apart.

Stay above the water line!

I'd like to add also to be careful about any type of illegal activities or chatting about such things, even disclosing info about your food stores or Firearms cache could get you taken out of the game early. It would be fatal to be picked up for such BS right now, I think y'all catch my drift!

Folks look for leadership when they're out of their depth. They will naturally look to us (that are prepared) after SHTF. We had better be setting a good example of a cool head.

If we loose it, our people will loose it. Watch kids. If their Mom starts crying then they cry, even if they don't know whats wrong. Parents that keep cool under pressure have kids that learn to keep their cool.

Give people something physical to do: gather firewood, weed a patch of ground, whatever. This will take their minds off their worries. Soon enough they will calm down and start using their heads.

Anything illegal will get you shut down quick! Avoiding specifics is definitely the way to go.

It's of utmost importance that you keep calm during a crisis. Panic attacks at the wrong time could really hurt.

Riverwalker,..Many people will start to panic and tell every thing they know when asked. Thinking they do the right thing.

Along those lines people should refrain from mabey instaling unauthorized parts for your AR or putting together things that make big bangs. "I thought I might need them" is not going to fly as an excuse if you get caught with such items.

Those extra add-ons to their gear will most likely lead to confiscation of said items but quite possibly a little jail time to go along with it.

You got that right! Time to keep the old tongue in it's place. Now's not the time to be wagging it around.
